Trip report-Badlands Aug 2005

We’ve gone to the Badlands Offroad Park, Attica, IN before and we loved it. They have over 1,000 acres of diverse terrain. They have a large abandoned quarry that offers various difficulty level climbs. They have a large group of tight, twisty trails as well as a large portion of the park that is devoted to ATVs and motorcycles. I went with a large group of people from a local club and we started on the simpler trail. It went very well, so we proceeded to some more difficult rocky terrain. My friend Chris has 40″ tires so I found it rather difficult to follow on some lines, but I did continue, sometimes being pulled on a strap, sometimes mashing the skinny pedal! This was a great time even though I managed to remove the skid plate on a large rock. We strapped the skid plate back up, and went back to camp to weld it up. We also had a night run in the park which was really different, but also a lot of fun.

As you can above, I managed to rip all of the bolts out of the skid plate. Luckily we brought a welder and grinder and we managed to fix it up!

Below are a few of the other pictures from that trip, including Chris in the black YJ and Jeff in the yellow Scrambler.
